May challenge
Again sorry the challenge is without the mood board, haven't uploaded it yet. Lol.
But here is the theme to get those ideas started. Clocks / Time
Plus there is one rule this time no Steampunk.
And now with mood board, not sure what to do myself this time, sorry I think its a toughie.

Re: May challenge
With you on that one, I hate steampunk. If I see another Jema Hewit(sp?) tutorial I think I'll scream (no offence to you personally Jema, in case you're out there somewhere lol)

Re: May challenge
OMG there's another challenge gone and no entry :-(. So sorry guys. I'd have loved to have been clever enough to make my little tractor idea. I have another idea for this one in a dandelion clock but once again would need skills which aren't in my repertoire. Like etching or glasswork. But the idea's there if anyone else wants to pick it up and run with it.
Or, just to be stupid, how about a Tick brooch?

Re: May challenge
Synchronicity... I thought of dandelions as well, but didn't get any further with the thought.
Re: May challenge
That's so weird, I instantly thought of dandelion clocks too but thought it would be too time consuming all those fiddly bits of wire.

Re: May challenge
Aw Lisa I can see a beautifully etched copper dandelion clock face now, you have to give it a go
Re: May challenge
Time is conspiring against me this month due to house renovations so not as much thought gone into this as I would have liked.
12 spirals holding the gem representing the digits on a clock.
Double bail representing the hands of the clock
The gem had to be tigers eye - time passes in a blink of an eye (sorry)

Re: May challenge
Two great entries from Ashlynn and Nangoose. So different and both so clever. What is it about the Isle of Wight that all this creativity comes flowing out?!
Good luck with the renos, Ashlynn. (Australians abbreviate everything and it seems to be catching!)

Re: May challenge
Thank you ladies, not a piece that I am happy with but good spiral practice, one day I might be as good a spiraler as our Nan.
Love the blue and the copper together my friend and a great idea.
Thanks for the good wishes with the 'Reno's' Pru -' reno' is not something I enjoy but needs must, our cottage is very damp...........enjoy your time down under.

Re: May challenge
Lynne, I always start the spiral and then snip off the very end that you've just spiralled and then tighten it again. It seems to give a neater circle to start the spiral with. Before I did that I always started with an oval shape rather than a circle and then the rest of the spiral was wonky.

Re: May challenge
Thanks for the tip Lisa, tried it and as you say rounder centers give rounder spirals - brill.
Re: May challenge
Aw that's good Lynne, wasn't sure if my instructions made sense. I don't even know how I found out how to do it that way but it definitely makes a difference.
