Blimey Batty that's just what was thinking!
Dunno how I missed this thread yesterday but brilliant choice of theme Cornish and, as previously said, a lovely mood board. x

Re: March Challenge
Got mine in early this month, now watch the weather change...lol............... Actually been working on this for a few weeks and as luck would have it I think it fits this months theme.
Every single component has been made by my own fair hand including the glass cabs - have to say soldering copper with silver solder don't 'arf test ya.

Oh WOW! That's an incredible piece of work. Well done. Is that a commission or for yourself?

Re: March Challenge
Thank you ladies.
Odonata - no not a commission and not for me either I am afraid to say, it came up a little bit tight for me and to put more links in would spoil the balance I think - so into stock it will go. It really was just a 'play' piece to get used to working with copper being as silver is now so so expensive.
Batty - they are kiln cabs.

Re: March Challenge
I love pink and copper together Nan, that's a bracelet I would definitely wear a lot if it was mine!
Stunning Lynne, the copper looks so shiny it almost looks like brass in the pic. I know where you're coming from with the solder, that must have taken some amount of elbow grease to get that finish!

Stunning Lynne,
do not understand your aversion to copper. That bracelet is a work of art. The colour looks more like bronze than copper, you must have polished for hours.

Re: March Challenge
Thank you for your lovely comments and yes I did polish it till my fingers almost dropped off, many evenings in front of the TV with a tray on my lap and a pile of micro mesh and then it had a spin in the tumbler.
My aversion to copper – I don't understand it either, I know its not snobbery - copper has its own unique beauty, I admire & like copper jewellery even though it turns my skin green - I think its just because I find it so frustrating to work with from the soldering aspect even though the size of the pallions I use are more like shavings and am very conscious of getting a good fit in the first place.

Re: March Challenge
Just a suggestion but....If it's a piece you'd like to keep and wear yourself perhaps you could change the jump rings between the cab settings for some chunkier slightly bigger jump rings?

The little jump rings are soldered shut and although an ideal solution to replace them I don't think I have the knowledge or skill to do that and protect the glass cabs at the same time. The glass cabs make the bracelet quite heavy and I don't think I would trust an un-soldered jump ring on its own. Think I will chalk this one up to experience and possibly make myself another.
Thanks for thinking about it.
