Re: January Challenge
Cornish that's a BEAUTIFUL mood board. Love it.
I have JUST the beads for this challenege. I've been saving especially for this kind of thing.

Re: January Challenge
Lovely mood board, Cornish, but I might have trouble with this one until I get home to London. I have been on Bondi Beach today among all the bronzed, toned bodies. Sadly, I was one of the more wobbly, white bodies on the beach!! Never mind, I will be back soon and will be able to cover up in my winter woolies and I will give the challenge a go then!

Pru I'm tempted to turn my back n stop talking. Not that I'm JEALOUS or anything
Re: January Challenge
If you feel jealous, just think of all those 24 hour flights I have to endure! I know I am really lucky, but there are a few downsides to the crazy life I am living at the moment and sometimes I feel very far away from home.

Re: January Challenge
Awh Pru, I'm really sorry. Yeah, the flying backwards and forwards must be dreadful and I don't envy you that. And I'm really sorry too that you feel so far away from home. I hope you aren't feeling lonely.
Is the crazy life going to go on much longer? And why are you going backwards and forwards anyway? I have a vague memory of your first trip over there and if I remember right it was for your husbands job wasn't it? Or am I mixing you up? Someone's husband was going out to work for WETA but I don't think that was you was it?

Re: January Challenge
Yes, we are here for the old man's job (not WETA, whatever that is) but like you I have a son at uni and I also have one who has just started working and is living at home, so I sort of come to and fro to try to keep two households going at the same time. My mother is 92 and disabled, but still living in her own home, so I need to come back regularly to support my sisters in keeping an eye on her. It was supposed to be for a year, but it looks as if we will be staying for longer. I am not complaining, because I am having an amazing time here, but sometimes it can be difficult and I do feel guilty leaving my sisters to deal with everything to do with my mother.

Re: January Challenge
Wow, that's an awful stretch for you though Pru. I wish you well. (WETA is the special effects workshop. They did Lord of the Rings)
Re: January Challenge
*gasp* Ooh cornish you've outdone yourself there! Brrrrr!! Is that bring on the snow time then?
Well I hope to get back to the Shedio in the morning, after unpacking the car - couldn't face it after having been on the road since midday today, so I'll hopefully have a crack at that :-)

Re: January Challenge
Lovely mood board - I have an inkling of an idea for a piece - hope I have time to make it!
Re: January Challenge
Yay! Well done Batty - great entry :-) I think two entries are ok on the months where we don't have a prize available - we'd just have to be more specific on the voting?
Re: January Challenge
Oh wow! Great pics. Love that you chose to set your work against the frost. Your icicle beads are fantastic. Lovely colour choice. Brrrr.
Re: January Challenge
spanks ladies , feel a little better these past few weeks which is a great boost. Does anyone else feel slight embarrassment when we comment on one another's work? Or is it just me?
I must get round to opening an account to sell some of my items. but I do feel a little curious. what if one of or items was to scratch someone? not that any of my piece's have jagged edges, but what if one of the beads broke? oh blimey, I worry about things. Can one factor in a disclaimer?

Doh! I know I've shown these elsewhere, but I just realised, they really do fit this theme.

I wish I'd taken a picture of the matching pendant I made from the same glass last year now.

Sorry George must have missed yours. I was admiring them on your Flickr earlier. Stunning!
