Re: October Challenge
Ashlynn NOW you're talking. That's something I'd wear and I love it. So would my Potter fan daughter of 25!
Re: October Challenge
Great brooch!
I have to confess, though, I'd love to see it oxidised to really bring out the shaping, especially on the brush.
What a fantastic use of scrap

Midnight Blue Crucifix Cuff (to "stave off", them there grizzly ghouls)
Sorry that this pic is soooo in your face.
But, as you may have realized, I haven't been around for a few days. Reason = was taken into hospital
Anyway, I'm back, feeling rather sorry for myself and a tad under the weather and I haven't the energy to do any more faffing around.
That's John Cleese's portrait in the back ground taken by the American Portrait Photographer Annie Leibovitz.
Happy Halloween every one. I'm back in hospital on the 7th Nov, not sure when I'll be back on the forum. I'll peek in before I go in, so to speak.
ps. As I haven't got a hand mannequin I had to use my ankle mannequin, but it is a Wrist Cuff.

Re: October Challenge
A bit of fun here. I've been learning how to fuse glass lately and came up with this witchy cabouchon set into a sterling silver bezel.
Depending on the way that the light hits it, either the witch inclusion or the background dichroic glass is more prominent. I like to think that she's flying through a starry night sky.

I go away for a day and look what happens - another 2 great entries.
Batty, feeling poorly but still able to enter, great worknmanship, lovely cololurs, wish you well soon.
Elaine, l just love your Witch on her ride through the starry night sky, a great combination.

Re: October Challenge
Two very different, but both very lovely entries.
Batty, I love the colours and the way the drops work. I like to see a bit of movement in seed bead designs. I bet it is lovely to wear.
Mead Moon, I have only seen abstract patterns in dichroic glass, but your little witch works really well and is clever the way she changes in different lights. Spooky!

Ashlyn. 4.45!? I know the clocks went back last night but are you ok? I don't think I've ever seen that hour of the day!

That is so sweet of you to ask, yes I am absolutly fine, honest, just a lousy sleeper. I know as you get older you are meant to sleep more but true to form I have gone the other way.
larks and owls
Lynne is one of lifes larks. I am the opposite. Although my dog has me up at 6 am most mornings and 7 am is a lie in to me, I am a brain dead zombie until 10. 30 am and my second mug of coffee. I am definitely an owl. If I do not go to bed early I am wide awake and full of energy and ready to party by midnight.

Re: October Challenge
All great entry's again, another tough call for the judges.
Yes Pru, the seed bead bracelets are lovely to wear, slinky / silk like around ones wrist.
Not much energy today.
Good luck every one.

Re: October Challenge
I like the cauldrons Lakelady, nice I want to say Hubble bubble.
Novembers challenge may be a day or so late as I'll be out on the broomstick tonight. I do have an idea that will lead us nicely into Yule.

Re: October Challenge
the cauldrons are brilliant Lakelady and I love that the body of the cauldrons themselves look like cast iron.
Lovely detail in the bubbling contents too.

Re: October Challenge
They were fun to make - didn't have timeto make them into jewellery but they will be going onto a kiddy young lady bracelet! Happy halloween everyone - gotta go, got a Dyson to fly!!!
Re: October Challenge
Love your cauldrons Lakelady especially the bubbling contents, I can think of a few adults that would like them as well.
