October Challenge
I have a sneaky feeling you might not like this months challenge as much as the last but Nov and Dec are a bit easier honest
The theme is sort of Haloween ish, it is a celebration that takes place at a simular time to halloween and is very popular in Mexico.
So this month challenge is
For a bit of help here is a link to wiki about the day of the dead. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Day_of_the_dead
And for extra incentive this months challenge is a Prize Winning Challenge can't wait to see your creations.

Re: October Challenge
Ahah! And it's also Tinker's Birthday
To my mind it's sort of like a mexican twist to all saints/all souls which the catholics have, but I could be off base there.
Fabulous mood board though, might have to print that one out for the studio art

Re: October Challenge
Here's my entry. It is a kumihimo bracelet (surprise, surprise!!) made out of agate chips and red chrystals. If the skulls look a bit familiar it is because I bought a string of these howlite skulls last year and used half of them in my halloween entry. It seemed a waste not to finish them up this year! This bracelet is not suitable for a loner because you need a friend to tie the bow!

They're so ghoulish but cute Tinker!
Am still frantically working on my second idea but am NOT happy with it all, but will probably have to put it up anyway.

It's made from polymer clay and alcohol inks and is based on the flower patterns on the skulls.

Thanks guys, I wasn't very happy with my carving out of the clay but I might have a go at another one when I've got more time.
