Re: October Challenge
Love your spider RowanWolf.
Great little braclet Cornish, nice bit of fun those fangs - creepy.
Hopefully will get something done this weekend.

Re: October Challenge
I think we should all havea whip round and get Lisa a digital camera of her own
Re: October Challenge
Cornish, your bracelet is so full of character and I am not surprised that you have been wearing it so much. However, it is the fangs which I really love ... simple, but very effective.

Re: October Challenge
Oooh, I spy my batty Cornish!! Cute - and love the fangs too. I adore spiders Rowanwolf and I love that necklace too.
Will take the issue of the voting etc off to a new topic so we don't distract from the comp. So - who else is working on a piece? I'm loving this month so far, bats and spiders, I'm in super-mega-goth heaven

Re: October Challenge
I have a couple of ideas, but no time to work on them yet. I'm hoping that the month doesn't finish before I even get started!
Re: October Challenge
I'll confess that I'm not working on this month's comp. It's a really busy time for me right now and, whilst I love halloween, it's not my thing to make jewellery around festive themes.
Re: October Challenge
I have finished my entry and I am just waiting for the right conditions to take a photo. The only outside area we have is a balcony and the light conditions can be a bit tricky at certain times of day. My photography is a bit dire at the best of times so I need all the help I can get!

Re: October Challenge
So here is my entry. I found these howlite skull beads a while ago and they have been waiting in my stash for the right moment. Once I had made the bracelet it reminded me of those rows of skulls you see in documentaries about the Khmer Rouge, so I added the purple jade beads to soften the look. I fear it is still a bit grim!

Re: October Challenge
Skulls are not my fav thing either but very inovative use of them and the purple works well.
Re: October Challenge
Thanks Tinker and Ashlynn.
Ashlynn, do you realise that in the last two MJ challenges you and I have used the same material. We both used paua shell for the sea challenge and blue goldstone for the night sky challenge. However it sounds as if you don't have a ready supply of skulls for this one!!
