Re: September Challenge
We need to get you camera trained my lovely! Waiting is so underrated ;-D
My thread has come - yes I'm making something rather than just doing a bead this time - go me!! but I have to get hubby to his hosp appointment soon so I'll be cracking on tonight.

I know Tinker, it's pathetic how much of a technophobe I am, I can't use a digital camera at all

Re: September Challenge
Most of them have what I like to call 'idiot settings' on them nowadays - I'm crap at cameras too! Mine has a setting called iA which means Intelligent Auto - that'll be the job then lol!
Re: September Challenge
Even my 6 year old has his own digital camera - maybe I should get him to take the pics lol!

LOL!
Ok, mine is finished - hurrah! Its inspired by the view of the turning leaves I can see from my bedroom window

and its done in micro macrame which I'd forgotten how much fun it can be - you melt the ends with a hot thingy rather than messing about with glue - much quicker and far less messy!

Re: September Challenge
Great colours Tinker and that's a lovely neat bit of knotting at the clasp end.
Re: September Challenge
Yes was just thinking that myself, how neat your knotting is. I've only had 2 goes at micro macrame and found it awful fiddly, well done Tinker! And what's a hot thingy?!

The Autumn one is my favourite, so much so I've made an autumn tree cab for my popper bracelet.

Re: September Challenge
Like the freshness of spring but my fav has got to be autumn, I think the fallen leaves make it
Re: September Challenge
Your autumn bracelet is a brilliant interpretation of this months theme, well done.
Those 4 season beads are so pretty Cornish and my favourite is of course winter. Beautiful blue.

Re: September Challenge
Beautiful beautiful work Pru and you have certainly achieved your aim. Love how you have finished off the ends of the braid.
Re: September Challenge
Thanks re the bracelet you guys! I've always loved macrame so I can't say what my trick is, but if you're really interested I could see if hubby would take a little vid that I could you-tube if you want. The hot thingy Lisa is a stitch zapper - it heats up and basically melts the nylon together. Less messy than glue, I'm liking it alot.
Ok my jaw dropped at Pru's entry! That is really really stunning and I say it again, good to have you back The owner of the shop that I'm stocking has asked me to do some beads with 10mm holes that will fit kumihimo so I must put some pics up for you to see and give me an opinion on! That necklace looks like a heck of a lot of work, bet you were delighted to get back to jewellery making, certainly shows Lol!
