November Challenge
For this month I've gone for something a little bit easier, well I hope you think so anyway. So the challenge is ..........................
Re: November Challenge
Ahhh nice. Like it. I haven't entered anything into a challenge since Mad Hatters Tea Party but as it happenes (oo that's a bit Saville...shudder) I made something today which JUST about scrapes into oriental so will enter that after I've taken pics tomorrow heeheehee
Re: November Challenge
Here's mine, I made this a long time ago but it fits the bill perfectly. It's made from polymer clay again (sorry) and is the Chinese character for love.

Re: November Challenge
That's a bit lovely missus. I like that. Simple, understated and elegant.
Here's mine. I made it yesterday and by chance it fits the bill too. Well I think it does anyway.

The thinking behind this is that red is considered to be a lucky colour and the red silk, floral theme and cloisonne beads tie in too.

Re: November Challenge
You two have been very quick off the mark!
I love the stylish simplicity of your Chinese love letter, Lisa.
I love the rich vibrancy of your red necklace, Odonata.

Re: November Challenge
I love that Gillian, I'm intrigued by the findings the ribbon goes through, do the rings have a bar through the middle?

Re: November Challenge
Thank you peeps.
The finding is a simple and cheap twisted ring with a beading hole through the middle of opposite sides. I just put a head pin through and did a twisted loop to attach one side to the linking wires. Then threaded the silk across the central bar formed from the head pin. A slightly neater finish than looping the ribbon through and also saved me having to try to hide the stringing holes in the ring Method in my madness see
Has anyone noticed the beautiful red and silvered lampwork beads? They're by Our Batty

Re: November Challenge
I thought they looked familiar. They are beautiful beads.
I admire but am not tempted to try lamp work, but have decided to be brave and actually try out the kiln I was bought over a year ago and am too frightened of to use.

Re: November Challenge
Mixed media this time from me ...............
Yin Yang Pendant of copper & brass slightly domed with two tiny sterling silver discs.
I was hoping for a distinct silver solder join of the copper and brass but it didn't look good so disguised with a garland of flowers.

Re: November Challenge
That's gorgeous Lynne and I think that the flowers work particularly well to give a well known symbol a new interpretation.

Thank you ladies for your lovely comments, looking forward to see more entries soon.
Re: November Challenge
Ooo lovely pendant Ashlyn. I really like the garland of leaves over the seam. It gives the piece a deliciously feminine touch.
