First Challenge
So here we are the first challenge for you all, as the forum is new I thought I would reflect that in the Challenge.
Its All About You
So what we want to see is some lovely examples of work that represents you / your brand.
It may be that you have something that you sell well and is associated with you but you feel thats not really you, show us both.
Rules:
I will keep the rules fairly informal for the time being, but will add some if needed.
The main rule is it has to be you own work and is something to do with the boards on the forum.
I will post the next challenge in a months time, but for now I'm looking forward to seeing some lovely pieces.

Re: First Challenge
Thanks Cornish!
Well that's a tough one eh! I'll have to get thinking on that.
Should note, theres no prizes - just the satisfaction of joining in
Sorry about the posting links thing, I'm not sure there's anytihng I can do about it but I'll keep trying...gives you longer to think about it!

Re: First Challenge
i like to use coins in a lot of my pieces. and this brooch incorporates three of my passions, seed beads, bead embroidery and bead weaving. i'm only just getting myself set up to sell but i have given items similar to this to several friends and family members who really like them, i'm also working on the tutorial for them but i keep getting writers block

Re: First Challenge
Hmm, I'm having a think. I've not really developed a particular style or brand as yet as far as I can see..maybe someone else sees it in my work.. might just pick my favourites hehe

Re: First Challenge
Whiskey I love your coin jewellery, can't wait for the tutorial.
RowanWolf your favourites will be great.

Re: First Challenge
That's a great design whiskey - and what a great idea for comemmorative coins etc. Rowanwolf your signature style at the moment seems to be those gorgeous necklaces like you did for a certain other challenge?
Re: First Challenge
This was the beginning - my first bracelet that started it all:
This represents where I went next, and what I still love doing:
and this is a current passion:
My style hasn't really settled down; I like so many things and trying anything that looks interesting, but I keep returning to chainmaille; leaves in silver or copper; and jewellery influenced by ancient Egypt.

Re: First Challenge
I love the details on the leaf Mead Moon, and chain mail is something I shall try too very soon, I see so many beautiful bracelets and necklaces out there.
Re: First Challenge
Ok, my go
This is my biggest achievement/range to date in silver. I like rounded, tactile stuff - don't like pointy or jagged things and I'm very proud of this.
It was also featured on the guild of jewellery designer's site when they did a thing on charms.
Beads - well at the moment it seems to be that polkadots are my thing, but being the butterfly that I am I expect it won't be long till I'm on to the next thing!!

Re: First Challenge
Those are amasing Tinker, I love the charms and the fasteners you used to attached them to the bracelet. Well done!
Re: First Challenge
Those charms are brilliant. What great ideas you have! I love the bonbon and the heart one, is it a box or a book?
Re: First Challenge

Re: First Challenge
Thanks guys! Well actually they all relate to the traditional theme for the first few wedding anniversaries so paper (book) cotton, etc etc I'm very lucky in that my sis is quite senior within a hotel chain so I get into wedding fairs with them.
