September Challenge
I'm all organised this month and have everything ready I was thinking of an autumn theme but changed my mind so we have instead.
Re: September Challenge
Gosh there's lovely.
My neighbour has just painted some silver birches in the same format as that there silver birch pic, they air on the side of abstract sort of. I'd like the picture to hang on one of me walls, but alas, I can-nee afford it.
Great Mood board again Cornish me lovely -x-

Re: September Challenge
Should be right up my street - assuming that I can get going with any ideas; I totally failed for last month's challenge
Re: September Challenge
My entry this month is Leaves.
Small half ring on the back for a bail put on with Art Clay Oil Paste and re-fired. Oil Paste very messy and fiddly to use but worked a treat and also did a grand job repairing a small crack.

Re: September Challenge
They are beautiful Lynne well done!
Gorgeous mood board Cornish, I should be getting back to work next week so I shall have a go then.

Re: September Challenge
They're lovely Lynne and I really like the way you've done the bails; I'm still drilling a hole for a jump ring in mine. Does Art Clay Oil Paste also work with PMC3? If so (and I'm not sure why it shouldn't since it's used on the silver after firing) then I may buy some and try this as well.
Re: September Challenge
Those leaves are so beautiful Lynne, you can see all the texture of the leaves so well.
I made my entry but didn't like it, so I'm going to make something different for it.

Re: September Challenge
Those are gorgeous and the hidden bail is so much more professional than a jump ring. Brilliant work, I love the deep texture of the leaves and you've polished them up really brightly.
Re: September Challenge
Thank you everyone for you lovely comments, they have been a joy to do.
Elaine - logic also tells me that you should be able to use Art Clay Oil Paste with PMC. According to PMC tips from Murano Silver (sorry couldn't get a link in here) you can apparently make your own Oil Paste by just adding Pure Lavender Oil drop by drop and mixing well.
You get the teeny tinyest pot for your money so maybe another use for the precious scraps.
If you do use it Elaine I would love to hear how you get on, I didn't find it easy to apply (used a tooth pick) nicely and had to do quite a bit of sanding to tidy up after firing.
Polishing - stainless steel brush when cold, micro mesh and then a couple of hours in the tumbler - if they survive that they are good to go..........................

Re: September Challenge
Lovely tree Cornish. I'm always amazed at how talented the lampworkers here are!
Re: September Challenge
That is beautiful Cornish, you are right to be proud of that one! I am geared up to tackle this challenge tomorrow. Finally got the will to torch back, made a few beadies today but not enough to shout about lol.
Re: September Challenge
Different season ones would be gorgeous. Just about finished mine, my 3rd attempt and I finally got something done I like.

Re: September Challenge
Ashlynn, your leaves are superb. The hidden bail is certainly worth the effort and is bound to get easier now that you have done several. You get a great finish on the surface. Who says you can't improve on nature?!
I love your tree, Cornish. You always get so much personality into your character beads and the same goes for your tree.
Autumn is coming along nicely here, but as it is spring where I am I am finding it hard to get my mind around te theme. I am working on something, but it might be a bit ambitious for me to be able to complete in time. I'll keep going for now.
