Silver and Ruby earrings
Been dying to get these done, there're for my other Nice Charlotte, she's 18 in the morrow. this is my first attempt at "home alone!!", stone setting, haven't set stones for 2 years and to be honest the teacher at college did most of though's, of which there were 2, the turquoise that you saw on my friends pendant, an aquamarine in a necklace for my mum and a ring setting for me, ah, that's 3 then. well here we go.... Bit of a strange angle but, well there you go. 6mm rubys, V. fiddly ps, just realized how top make your photo's appear smaller.

Re: Silver and Ruby earrings
I think they look great. And the setting looks just fine!
Can I make a suggestion? Make a pair of earwires to match the design. Commercial ones rarely do an artisan piece justice, and a nice pair of very simply squared off hooks would finish the design off beautifully.

Beautiful Batty. Very elegant. And I like George's sugestion about the earwires too. An elegant pair of handmade wires would finish off those earrings to perfection.
Re: Silver and Ruby earrings
Why thank you ladies I'm Truly honored.
Thank you George how right you are -x- I'll look up "squared off hooks". what a pity I didn't put them on here earlier (I get very posting up my achievements, but it soo encourages one to carry on when people make comments and help you out, not that DH isn't helpful but at every piece I make he says "that's really niece dear, pass the sauce!" if you get my drift, don't get me wrong he does encourage me, but well, you know what i mean?) as they went off in the post yesterday. still i will endevour to make them and take them up with me next time I visit.
