They've not had their final polish, so apologies for any grubby bits!

Re: ring fest!
Ooo I have the honour to be the first to see these little beauties. You really have been busy and they're all gorgeous. I'd be very hard pushed to choose a favourite but my eye is drawn to the deep pink, middle left. I love all the different galleries. Do those ornate galleries stay flat firmly against the cabochon MizG or do they tend to snag and get bent back? I ask only cos I have a strip of something similar waiting in my workbox but I've been apprehensive about using it as it's all quite new to me but bezel setting is the area of smithing which most appeals too. My brain is short-circuiting

Wow! only a couple of days - they would have taken me much longer than that! I really prefer the plainer settings and yours always look perfect.
What do you use for final polishing? I'm always worried about damaging the cabs.
Are those Lush cabs?

The galleries are fine as long as they're really well burnished against the stones. Luckily, lampwork cabs can take quite a bit of abuse so they get really well rubbed down and then polished and tumbled.
Elaine, most of these were, or will be, hand finished with micromesh, but haven't had their final polish yet. I use luxi compounds rather than tripoli and rouge, mainly because they're so much less messy (and water based, so far easier to clean up!)
The large white cab with the blue murrini is one of Lush Julie's, most of the rest are from Julie Haveland Beer at Dolmairic Design with a couple from Karina Thornhill and Becky Fairclough. I've got another batch of Lush cabs to do this week though!

Re: ring fest!
Thank you George. I've seen the Luxi products but never used them, but if they are easier to clean up than rouge then they are definitely worth a try!
Re: ring fest!
WOW!! I love all of them MizGeorge!! I bow before you…. We definitely need a tutorial on how to make these lovely’s.
I love the way you have photographed them, great light. Did you use a soft box? What are the rings sitting on, something silver?
The Luxi polish you spoke about is this used in the same way? Sorry for all the questions.

Wow, I love the one with the red murrini next to the spotted green and black one. Seriously they are all delicious. All your work is though. x

Re: ring fest!
Thanks you lot
I do use a light tent, with a couple of dedicated lamps, and they're sitting on an old biscuit tin lid - makes a nice reflective surface for finished pieces!
Luxi polish is a water based alternative to tripoli and rouge - much easier to clean up and far less horrid to work with http://www.hewitt-impex.co.uk/shop/

Re: ring fest!
Yeah! That's such a good idea and fits in well with today's make-do-and-mend philosophy.
Thanks for the tip about the polish,I've bookmarked the website for future use.
