It's been a while, but here's my latest effort.
24 carat Gold leaf encased lampwork beads, made by me
all tied up in a 17.5 inch necklace

I never think of combining blue with gold. To me blue always screams silver but that necklace is stunning and the gold and blue work beautifully together.
Wish Icould get my mojo back. just no interest in picking up my tools at the mo.

I'd have called that purple rather than blue and the gold gives it a very imperial feel. Love it!

Blue and gold go very well together - just look at the Lapis lazuli and gold jewellery from ancient Egypt

Lovely, quite elegant, looks more purple than blue to me as well. Combination of the gold accent beads set them off well.

The beads are actually Purple, but oddly enough Nan, in order to get a really good darker purple, the base bead under purple is blue, periwinkle blue!

Not just a lovely colour combo (Tho like Nan I prefer blue with silver; just my own personal taste) but a great bead shape too. They're awesomely good Batty.
I thought of lapis lazuli when I thought of blue and gold too. Great lapiz has a rich gold veining in it and there's no better stone than Lapiz in my eyes.
