Aw, they would make great earrings. Need to get a grip of that husband of mine, have been waiting on him doing my photos for months!

Stop feeding him till he starts clicking Lisa! (The wisdom of Solomon, I'm sure)
That bunny Cornish! I didn't realise he had red eyes. You naughty girl! (But he is lovely )

Heehee he does like his grub Gillian! Poor soul's been snowed under at work for weeks, I haven't had the heart to ask him, he's been working late every night. Looks like I'll need to learn how to take photos myself.

The next time I upgrade my phone Lisa I'll pass you the one I use now. It takes fantastic pics
Re: Favourite makes for Jan & Fab
I use my phone the whole time too now, I made myself a little light box which basically is the size of a shoe box, cut the front side away, line the back and bottom with one sheet of white paper and the inside sides with tinfoil to reflect the light. It took all of 10 mins and I am pleased with the results. I would give it a go Lisa, dare ya!
Ok here's my fave make so far:

Re: Favourite makes for Jan & Fab
That sounds simple, Tinker! Gillian, I have a rubbish Nokia phone which takes the most awful pics, or is that just me? My 7 year old actually has a small digital camera, maybe I should get him to show me how to use it lol.

Thats a deffinite yes on the lessons from your 7 yr old. Bet he knows more than me.
Re: Favourite makes for Jan & Fab
He definitely knows more than me, that's for sure lol! Been feeling pretty crap last few days but will definitely dig out an old box soon and try that!

Re: Favourite makes for Jan & Fab
Go for it Lisa! I take all my pics with my phone now too, at 8 mp's its almost as good as my camera anyway and so much less faffing about as I can use the editor on my phone too so no mucking about with SD cards on the PC etc.
Re: Favourite makes for Jan & Fab
Heehee Tinker, you realise I'm so bad I didn't understand any of that!!

Every time I see your work it makes me want to try beadwork. You are taking kumihimo to a new level Pru, - famtastic.

Oh my god Pru they're wonderful. I haven't done kumihomo but seeing your work I don't think I'll even start trying. I love how you've worked in the dagger beads and the flattened semi-precious teardrops. Gorgeous stuff.
Re: Favourite makes for Jan & Fab
Thanks everyone for your kind words. My love of kumihimo is definitely becoming obsessive. Your comment Nan about taking it to a new level was particularly encouraging because that is what I am trying to do, with the long term plan of writing a book of kumihimo jewellery tutorials. I may well be barking up the wrong tree because I did a few kumihimo tutorials for Beads and Beyond and then they said that the interest in kumihimo had gone a bit flat. Not a very good omen for my book, is it?!

I think you take kumihimo to a new level though Pru! Good luck with your book. I would definitely buy it! Weirdly Paul's aunt seems to have a kindle novel for sale on Amazon. I didn't realise you could publish your own books like that.

Not sure what my favourite make for last month was, but this bracelet is definitely this month's. My very first loop in loop bracelet.

Just seen this on your FB and liked it. I thought it was a necklace. Bet all that soldering was hard work.
I think every body on the internet knows about my mental block on soldering, lol.

Re: Favourite makes for Jan & Fab
Hi Nan & Lisa, thank you. Nan, the soldering wasn't too bad since all the links can be soldered before assembling the bracelet apart from the ones that connect the clasp (which will be soldered when I know what length the bracelet finally needs to be.) I still have a bit of a block about soldering but am making myself practise a lot to try and get over it. Sometimes it goes well, and other times....
Lisa, the "stones" are fluorite beads. Easy to get in, but not so easy to remove

Lovely design, Elaine. The clasp is pretty too.

Re: Favourite makes for Jan & Fab
Loving this thread.........
The little pink bunny would make a great Easter gift instead of a choc egg, oh sorry as well as.......
Love the snow drops, so fresh looking.
Lovely work Pru, do hope you continue with the book idea because I think its what is needed. Think I am typical, learnt the basics a while back and then didn't have anywhere to go with it other than a braid to hang stuff on, a book of enticing designs like those would certainly make me think again. Can we all have a say on picking a piece for the front cover.......my vote at the moment goes for your piece on Flickr called Wharatah, (hope I have spelt that right)
Like the loop in loop Elaine, it's shouting necklace at me as well, the centre ring would make a great platform for a focal "something". Take it there is a centre thread running through the gems or are they just "captured".
I have a favourite make for this month but sadly no decent photo and it got whipped away to the Gallery 2days after being made, time permitting will remake it as I wants one............
