Fantasy Film
No, not what you think - and yes I know it's an easy assumption coming from me...
I thought I'd show you another hobby - this is basically where you make wire frames and dip them in liquid which then solidifies so you can make petals etc and then stick them together in the usual floristry sort of way...

Re: Fantasy Film
You can buy it from most craft shops. It's basically a very thin acrylic resin/plastic. You make the frame work from wire. You dip your shaped wire in and allow it to dry it's fun to do.
It's called fantasy film, be careful what you click on if you search for it on google

Re: Fantasy Film
I have no idea what your talking about fantasy films cos I'm dead pure I am, but the dipped flowers are great. And they're really quite versatile too aren't they? Any shape you care to make and the resin fills the gap. (it's great to stick yer fingers through after it's set too but that's naughty)
Re: Fantasy Film
Lol oh Gillian you are naughty!
If you do get a kit make sure you get some hardener as well, and I've used pearlescent paints there to make it more lifelike - I've got pansies and snowdrops here too.
What shall I photograph for you next then, my stumpwork or cross-stitch?
