Some commissions I made Empty Some commissions I made

Post  Odonata Mon Jan 09, 2012 1:16 am

I was asked to make a bracelet and necklace set for a work colleague's birthday present but wasn't given any brief except, "Do something she'll like for less than £30".
I thought it'd be best to make 3 or 4 pieces so they could choose which they like most and I came up with these.

I've really enjoyed making them as I was working against the clock but I had 2 weeks over the Christmas period when I couldn't access supplies but it meant I had 2 weeks to think of designs n colour schemes etc before springing into action this last week.

I agree, the turquoise and copper is a stunning colour combination. The leather cord set is a fab mix of colours as well.

All three are lovely but its the copper and turquoise every time for me - they are just made for each other - love the clasp on the bottom one.

Aye,I agree about the copper colours and turquoise colours combining so well. They're opposites on the colour wheel and always go beautifully together.
The clasps on the bottom set were made for me by MizGeorge. They're really lovely aren't they?

I love them all. So hard to choose. I think I would go with the top one, but then again the turquoise and copper is lush.

Just to follow through with this topic:
My customers chose the chain necklace and bracelet with the copper toggle clasps by MizG and they were really pleased with them both as they knew they wouldn't get anything like it anywhere else.
They gave it to the Birthday Girl today and she's delighted with it too and came to thank me.
It's great when things go well and I'm putting the other 2 pieces onto Etsy and if they sell then I'll be chuffed.
