My Compact and Bijou workspace
I used to have a "studio". It was my absent son's bedroom which was an extension at the back of the house. It had a huge desk and loads of space but not enough natural light. However, every time he came back from Uni I had to move my stuff back out again. Last time that happened I was too slow moving back in again n my husband moved his computing stuff in when my back was turned so I moved upstairs to my bedroom instead.
Best thing I did. My stuff in my space and loads of natural daylight and comfortable surroundings too. Only problem is there's a lot of fabric around and metal filings and gas torches don't go too well with fabrics. Ooer :!:

This was taken between projects and so is half way tidy.
Some of you may recognise your own handiwork on the desktop there.

I see the most important piece of equipment, a radio. I won't call it a tranny cos we've had the conversation already. Dave

Yeah it's a great piece of kit set constantly to Radio 4 and its a wind-up battery-free model. Indispensable.
