Silk necklace with focal

This may well be the first pic I've posted in this ere new forum. I'm sadly slipping but have been a bit tied up and distracted by life in general.

I bought a cheeky little lantern-type bead from PrincessPeggy while at Flame-Off earlier this year. I played around with it for a long time. Fondled it, toyed with it, combined it with chain, combined it with other beads etc etc and couldn't get it to settle anywhere. Then I saw a lovely silk necklace of Mooch's and I remembered my stash of sowzere silks. I played around with those for a bit till I found the perfect colour combo but it still needed something else so as not be a total copy of Mooch's. I found some laarge tulip type bead caps from Trinity and used them as ribbon ends and this is the finished result.

Me too they are rather scrummy and set off the silk beautifully

I can't remember where I got them (it was about 6 months to a year ago) but they chinkle really prettily when they come in contact with each other. (Chinkle. Thats chink and tinkle combined and is another official new word in the Odonata dictionary)

I've popped some instructions in the header forum here, have a look and see if there's anything that's been missed out, if not we'll have to go back to the drawing board!

Beautiful!! lovely colours, the silks work very well.

Found some more of those tulips here at Beads Direct. These are the antique brass colour by Trinity, haven't checked about the other colours cos I'm too busy looking for something else at the moment but they probably have them in too.

Stuning! I too will look out for those beadcaps, they really 'complete' the necklace.
