Re: Summer challenge
Elaine, that is amazing and such fun. It definitely sums up what summer should be like!

I also made this a while back and actually it winged its way to Devon last summer.
Ripples on the sand and a rock pool - sterling silver textured through the rolling mill with lace and of course a pretty glass cab for the pool.

Three pretty pendants.
Like them all. my muse has gone walk about again. Not in a creative mood at all.

Wow they're both gorgeous and so different, but both capture the seaside perfectly!

That's gorgeous Lynne. I love the texture and the colours. Mmm... lace through the rolling mill...
Re: Summer challenge
That's a real beauty, Lynne. The ripples in the sand are just perfect.

Re: Summer challenge
Thank you ladies, I was actually sorry to see that one go.
Elaine, I have had some great fun stuffing all sorts of things through the mill to texture, sandpaper, watercolour parchment, feathers, netting, more or less anything with a bit substance to it but not steel if my memory serves me right . I quite often do 2 together by making a "sandwich" of the texturing material, one layer silver and more often than not the other copper.
Lisa, I love my mill, one of the best bits of kit I invested in, in fact it is so precious that its not allowed in the shed, it lives in the spare room. I roll down copper wire to make bezel wire, turn round wire into D wire and of course texture.

Re: Summer challenge
I'd kill for a rolling mill to Lislarch!!
Well I'll be hard pushed for a winner out of those choices, is voting over?
They all evoke a summer feel
