Morgan le Fay

Post  Batty on Sat Dec 08, 2012 12:00 pm

Here we have my Necklace named "Morgan le Fay", she's been a Witch to get right, but in my very modest onion, I find her enchanting

Mooch's wonderful beads coupled with Garnet Chips, Hematite Disks, Mat Black Size 6 Toho beads and Silver plate beads caps

That is very, very special and it has a bit of a mysterious quality to it as well. It would have wowed them at Camelot!

Thank You ladies -x-
I'm hoping that some sorceress will find Her over on Etsy when I list her.
Although I may have to shorten the Toho section, as the lentil bead keeps wanting to sit side on.

That's stunning Batty. Is Morgan the one who is the enemy of King Arthur?

CRIKEY MIKEY! What do I think? I think it's stunning. Love those beads. They look like they have gemstones embedded in them. It's rich, dark and moody and the title is inspired. Brilliant work Debs

Thank you Ladies, I feel it's Mooch's beads that really steel the show. -x- I just wish (no pun intended) that the lentil bead would sit flush. I'll have to shorten the beaded section and hope that the increase in tension well help.

Yep Lisa, Morgan is a sorceress, King Arthur's half sister-x-

I'm guessing it's a physics thing Deb. The curve of the beading wire will take the path of least resistance and that will push the lentil so it lies horizontally as it is shallower that way. does that make sense only in my head or does anyone else get it too?). Surely when the necklace is hanging from my.. I mean A... neck Embarassed it lies properly then. does it?
Perhaps a lentil bead cap would solve the problem or a couple of tiny seed beads just small enough to sit in the bead opening? (that latter ides also helps a larger holed bead sit centrally on the string/wire)

Sometimes those hollow plastic laces inside the beadhole help - they make it snugger so it doesnt move. You know like the scuveadoos the kids were all making stuff with a few years back. You can get clear ones, cant remember who from tho will look it up

Wow!!!

That is stunning, I didn't recognise my beads at all lol until you said. What Tinks said too, I use smaller mandrels now, I can send you a replace doll if you like? I use a 2mm mandrel, but I have smaller ones if that will help?

I love this hon, it's gorgeous, dark and mysterious
