Set of flower coasters

A friend asked me to make him a set of coasters, so I took the opportunity to practise cutting curves. The final results are in an FB album (because I still can't get them anything but huge if I add them as images here):

Glass coasters on FB

I've learned not to put pieces of glass on the top layer too close to the edge ('cos it makes the squares not square) and to double check that all frit balls are securely glued down before firing (spot the one that rolled away to where it shouldn't be!)

These were originally meant to be Sunflowers, but all my yellow glass was actually red striker so they're now Gerberas

I saw those on facebook Elaine, they're gorgeous, really bright and sunny. Just what we need these days.
And if it's any help to you I don't mind if your pictures here are huge; it makes it easier for me to see them

Thank you all, he seemed quite pleased with them - and a couple of other people at the barn dance, where I handed them over, complemented me on them as well, so I'm happy

All I need now is for the cuts to heal
