Mood Boards
I thought I would write up the basics of how I make my Mood Boards.
The software I use for my boards is Adobe Photoshop Elements 6, this photo editing suite has a create section where you can make albums (ideal for brochures etc) and collages. You could also use a Word document.
Now to the lovely pictures, either use your own or go to a search engine and pop in a keyword and then search Images. I tend to open the images in a new tab and I pick several at once.
Look at the images, right click on the image and then select save image as, I tend to save the images onto the desktop and keep the original names and I only ever save as jpeg. I delete the photos when I have finished and saved the mood board.
When you have enough pictures go to you collage insert the photos. In the PS elements you add extra photo frames and them click in the centre of the frames and you can the select the images on your desktop. With Word just select insert image and I would also format each photo and go for tight alignment, this can vary with different versions.
Move the photos around, flip, twist them, overlap with others until you are satisfied with the arrangement.
If you want to put the mood board on the internet I would resize it, this is easy in the PS elements you just select save to the web, select the size you like.
And you now have a completed Mood Board which just needs to be saved, I also save a copy for web use and one for general, just in case I want to print a copy.
So thats how I make my Mood Boards, I hope I've covered everything.
